Today someone asked me if I was happy. I was like sure. They told me I should smile more. Frankly, this is not the first time that someone has told me that I should smile more. In fact, I’ve heard that comment many times. Do I really look that unhappy? I mean, other people don’t go around always smiling, it doesn’t make me think they’re unhappy. Do I really do it that often that I actually appear unhappy? Going around with a smile on my face just sounds odd. How can I look more happy?
I feel ya. This thing always reminds me of the car mechanic that I used to go to. He is not a smiler either, and when he does smile to the customers, it doesn’t look natural. One time I looked behind his counter, and he had several sticky notes saying “Smile!” as reminders. Props for his effort =) On another note, another friend of mine always smiles! That’s his default face. It got him in trouble in highschool during PE class. They were running the track and the PE teacher yelled at him, “Don’t joke around and stop smiling!”. He wasn’t even smiling hehehe…
