Have you ever bought one shirt in many different colors? I’m picky and I have a hard time finding something that fits comfortably when it comes to clothes. So when I do find something I like, I often buy the same thing in different colors, especially if its a shirt. I’m not sure if people notice or not, but I have A LOT of shirts that are exactly the same but just different in colors. Is that weird? Does anyone else do that?

Mmm..Salty…
The recommended daily allowance for sodium is roughly 2,400 milligrams. Right off the bat, it sounds like a lot! What makes it more interesting is that if you observe the food you eat (especially if you eat out all the time), you’ll realize you might be eating close to that amount of at least half of that in one meal! I was going to go to Rubios for lunch today and was browsing at the menu online when I got curious and decided to check out the nutrition facts. Typically I’d get a burrito or maybe a few tacos. The amount of sodium in one burrito (depending on the type) ranges from 1700-2500 milligrams of sodium!! So then I thought, well let’s look at the salads, there must not be nearly as much sodium in those range from 1400-2200 mg of sodium! Ok, ok, so maybe Rubios isn’t very healthy, so I thought, let me checkout what Subway has to offer. Turkey Breast sandwich 1000 mg in a 6inch. Course I would rarely get a turkey sandwich, it just isn’t as appetizing. Let’s see…something that sounds good – Chipotle Steak & Cheese – 1470mg.
Dang! I didn’t realize that the food we ate had so much sodium in it! Then again, it often times doesn’t taste “salty”. I think we are accustomed to the amount of sodium in food when we eat out which is why we don’t notice. Can you imagine the salt intake of people who add salt and soy sauce to everything when they’re about to eat it?
Attention Dress and Skirt Wearers
Note to ladies who wear dresses or skirts:
I do not recommend wearing such apparel and sitting up high in the bleachers with your legs not closed nor do I recommend walking up steep bleachers.

This lady was wearing a skirt and sitting at the top bleachers at basketball. She should sit more properly especially since she is up high because everyone on the court can look up and see… I told someone to tell that lady to sit better. The lady didn’t take it too well. =P
Harry Potter
How did Harry Potter become such a phenomenon? I never had much exposure to Harry Potter until the past two weekends. A long while back I had seen the first movie. Last weekend I saw the second and most of the third. This weekend I saw the 4th and the newest one in theatres. I have yet to read any of the books and now I want to. It’s so creative. Of course everyone says that books are always better than the movies, but just by watching the movies I was fascinated by the creativity displayed.
How does a book become such a huge hit that people are completely absorbed as each new book and movie comes out? What makes things lift off? Its interesting. How does the author feel as she starts writing and has the first book published, not knowing how it will do, but then realizing that the growth is magnificent and much bigger than anticipated?
It’s crazy when you stop to think about it.
I am eager to read the books and will do so very soon.
Happenings
This week was better than it has normally been. It was nice to have a day off in the middle of the week.
My computer is on crack. It somehow reset the time by itself to 8:49pm on a Friday when the time should have been 12:49am on Saturday. My screen was half black when I returned.
My basketball team is playing for the championship next week. I hurt my arm. I hope it is better by then.
7-11 Simpsons
7-11 turned some stores around the country into Kwik-E-Marts to promote the Simpsons new movie. It looks pretty awesome and I really wnat to check one out. The stores will revert back to normal 7-11s at the end of the month. There are only 11 in the country. The pictures look awesome. The workers are wearing Apu’s shirt. They sell squishees, the pink donuts with sprinkles, krusty-os, buzz cola, radioactive man comics, and more. What a great marketing scheme. Brilliant. 7-11s sales are up 300%.

I’ve been feeling kind of sick lately, but I’m hoping to feel better soon. I haven’t been able to sleep through the night which is very frustrating. Last night I woke up just before 4am and pretty much just laid there with my eyes wide open because I couldn’t sleep. Other times I keep moving around and waking up abruptly. It’s strange and I hope it stops.
Other than that, its been good. The weekend was a lot of fun. Just hanging out with good friends.
I was thinking and I realize I finally have some “favorite” things. Although I just forgot all the ones I was going to name. Favorite author: Mitch Albom. That’s right, you read that correctly, I said author. I really like his books. I’m trying to find a new book to read, but I haven’t been successful because I’m not exactly sure how to describe or find the type of books I like. Alright, well I forgot all the other favorites, but when I remember, I will post them here.
Yep that’s all for tonight.
